F the South

The Minister of Things tries to maintain certain standards on this site, so he limits himself to only saying the F word once or twice in a post. He also tries keep the dialogue civil. But, this doesn't mean he can't link to a site with no such inhibitions. If anyone still hasn't quite gotten gist of Northeastern feelings toward the Red State conservatives right now, click below. I think the point will be clear.

The Red states have soiled the name of Lincoln, permanently. Our esteemed sailor-mouthed colleague broke that shiz-nit down: redistributive tax policy, the right to bare arms, morals, god and how the Red states are too stupid to realize their contradictory stances on each of them...

Check this out:

In January 1861 -- The South Secedes.

When Abraham Lincoln, a known opponent of slavery, was elected president, the South Carolina legislature smelled a threat coming from the North (that's right bastards, we're gonna take your slaves and free 'em). Calling a state convention, the delegates voted to remove the state of South Carolina from the union known as the United States of America. The secession of South Carolina was followed by the secession of six more states -- Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas -- and the threat of secession by four more -- Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina. These eleven states eventually formed the Confederate States of America.

How do we get our delegates to do the same god-dammed thing? We'll kick they're arses again. This time we'll surround their sorry arses, from the get go. They may have more land, but now they're surrounded! Besides, we're smarter, better looking, have more people, and to be perfectly honest, are probably better shots.

While I totally understand your issues with the south, I hope...(or I could say pray :-) that you don't judge us all in that light. There are many of us who continue to fight for justice down here in the south. We feel all the pain, we are cast as "demons", "sinners" and hated openly, publicly, and our children and families suffer because of our stands on issues that our founding fathers believed in. A country with out religious persecution.
I hope you will support our battle to make the south a more educated community.
