Local Fun - Tree Lighting
For those in the holiday spirit, check out the tree lighting ceremony in downtown NB tonight.

The Minister of Things brings you commentary on national and local politics, and happenings in and around the City of New Brunswick, NJ. We’ll also throw in musings on less somber but equally important issues such as pizza, dogs (both Canis familiaris and Hottus dogliciousus), and Rutgers sports.

You know, the tree lighting is a great thing. It's really a true glimpse into New Brunswick's true identity -- ghetto. Now that Monument Square and downtown have become all fancy with new administrative buildings, new municipal buildings and courthouses, it's refreshing to know that through it all, you can still watch Public Works *assemble* the tree yearly. If you don't know, New Brunswick doesn't use a real tree, the "tree" is large metal rods shaped in the form of a Tee-Pee with faux pine on it.
HOWEVER, it's nice that no trees die in the process. But it is funny to see the tree built.

WHat the hell is going on here Minister? You have time to screen public comment, but no time to make another blog entry?
Lame, man, lame.
You should be ashamed. What is this, CNN?
I KNOW MAN! What the hell? This used to be a great source of information and ideas. You're like Geraldo Rivera: you used to be reputable, but now you're just some nut in the desert handing out classified military coordinates like it's friggin' Hallowe'en.
What a great resource, I was searching for lighting and ran into your blog. My prayers were answered and I found the perfect lighting project.
